Lesley was a key member of our gang at Leeds University - The Knitting Circle (we were all studying textiles). Happily, we have stayed in touch all of these years. I have so many great memories of time spent with Lesley. One that especially comes to mind is of mine and Kerrie's joint 21st birthday celebrations, in the room over The Original Oak in Headingly. Lesley and Clare came as the Pink Ladies wearing the most impressive shocking pink jackets. They shone like diamonds throughout the party. It was such a happy occasion. 

I am so grateful that Lesley was my friend. She was such great company! I admired her unfailingly positive attitude and fun sense of humour. As so many have already commented, it is Lesley's spectacular smile that I will miss the most.
