How we got to know lovely Lesley.

Created by Claire one month ago
Lovely Lesley came into our lives in July 2003. She had secured a job at Geoff Fieldens in Buxton as a textile adviser. As guest house owners we were asked if we could accommodate Lesley for a period of time. We hit it off from the start due to her kind, caring and fabulous personality. During her stay we sold our property and Lesley had to move out… As soon as we got the keys to the new property, Lesley moved back in…not phased by the bare floor boards and having to hold the aerial in her hand whilst watching “Mastermind “ & doing extremely well on the general knowledge questions. There followed many happy occasions, house hunting, family meals and spending time together, also some difficult times due to Lesley being made redundant ( due to the firm’s closure) . It was a sad day for the Oliver’s when Lesley moved to Brighouse, but true to her word she always kept in close contact. She attended John’s 90th birthday party, my 80th, John’s funeral along with many other family occasions. One that springs to mind is when she was thrilled to visit the Crescent Hotel in all its splendour with Claire for afternoon tea. Such happy memories…We class Lesley as an extension of our family. Lesley will be forever in our thoughts & greatly missed by us all. Ann, Robert, Edward, Claire & Antony ( Oliver ) xx
